Residential New Builds

The Malthouse Consultancy offers Project Management services from initial concept through to full delivery of new build schemes. A typical project is structured along the following lines:

  • Agree an ecological brief with the client
  • Assess the opportunities the specific project offers and produce a report for discussion with the client
  • Agree the detailed approach to be used and the budgets to be met and finalise the Ecological Project Brief (this will include performance levels for all major elements of the building, technologies to be used for the heating, cooling and ventilating and the outline approach to lighting internally and externally)
  • Manage the architect and the design team to meet this brief
  • Manage the process through construction to ensure the brief is delivered both in performance and budget
  • Ensure commissioning is completed and onsite training is provided for the occupier

Residential Refurbishment

The Malthouse Consultancy offers Project Management services from initial concept through to full delivery of refurbishment schemes which may include substantial new build extensions structured on the following lines:

  • Agree an ecological brief with the client
  • Assess the opportunities the specific project offers and produce a report for discussion with the client. This will include how far these solutions can be applied to the existing dwelling or make recommendations on the practicality and effectiveness of retro-fitting elements of the possible systems into the areas to be refurbished
  • Agree the detailed approach to be used and the budgets to be met and finalise the Ecological Project Brief (this will include performance levels for all major elements of the building, technologies to be used for the heating, cooling and ventilating and the outline approach to lighting internally and externally) and identify the areas of the existing building to be included
  • Manage the architect and the design team to meet this brief
  • Manage the process through refurbishment and/or construction to ensure the brief is delivered both in performance and budget
  • Ensure commissioning is completed and onsite training is provided for the occupier

Hotels

The Malthouse Consultancy offers specialist Project Management services for hotels from initial concept through to full delivery of the completed schemes whether new build or refurbishments structured on the following lines:

  • Discuss the approach the hotel owners are looking to follow including:
    • Planned marketing aspects
    • The planned guests experience
    • Overall expectations/aspirations for the scheme
  • Following this initial documented discussion we would seek to agree an 'ecological brief' with the client
  • Assess the opportunities the specific project(s) offers to meet the agreed brief and produce a report for discussion with the client. This will make recommendations on the practicality and effectiveness of all the potential systems being considered
  • Agree the detailed approach to be used and the budgets to be met and finalise the Ecological Project Brief (this will include performance levels for all major elements of the building, technologies to be used for the heating, cooling and ventilating and the outline approach to lighting internally and externally)
  • Work with the architect and the design team to meet this brief
  • Manage the process through construction to ensure the brief is delivered both in performance and budget
  • Ensure commissioning is completed and onsite training is provided for the hotel management team

Offices & Commercial

The Malthouse Consultancy offers specialist Project Management services for commercial schemes from initial concept through to full delivery of the completed schemes whether new build or refurbishments structured as follows:

  • Discuss the building owners requirements and routes they are looking to follow including:
    • Planned marketing aspects
    • The planned end user experience
    • Overall expectations/aspirations for the scheme
  • Following this initial documented discussion we would seek to agree an 'ecological brief' with the client
  • Assess the opportunities the specific project(s) offers to meet the greed brief and produce a report for discussion with the client. This will make recommendations on the practicality and effectiveness of all the potential systems being considered
  • Agree the detailed approach to be used and the budgets to be met and finalise the Ecological Project Brief (this will include performance levels for all major elements of the building, technologies to be used for the heating, cooling and ventilating and the outline approach to lighting internally and externally where appropriate)
  • Work with the architect and the design team to meet this brief
  • Manage the process through construction to ensure the brief is delivered both in performance and budget
  • Ensure commissioning is completed and onsite training is provided for the hotel management team
